SUBJECT F7)
Simulation packages for ATM.
NIST has an ATM simulator. This simulator is free from the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Take a look at the online users manual by surfing http://isdn.ncsl.nist.gov/. Check their WEB pages for information on how to get this software.
Another option is the Internet Simulated ATM Networking Environment (INSANE). INSANE is a network simulator that was designed to look at application performance over heterogeneous IP internetworks with different configurations of ATM backbones. More information, including the source code distribution, can be found at: http://http.cs.berkeley.edu/~bmah/Software/Insane/.
