Well Alan, it's going much further, you really need 70% of PBX functionality
in your ATM - Switch to really Switch Voice on it's protocol Level, e.g.
DSS-1, DPNSS, whatever. I have exactely this problem with TDM/FR Switches
we currently use/sell.
I think what the ATM - Forum can only do nowadays, is
in fact define the way Layer two could be switched. So you have virtual
tie lines, instead of physical tie lines.
If this is done, good more than I expected.
