Hello, FORE Systems also sells a video device that takes in 3 video (NTSC) and 3 audio sources and sends out a data stream over AAL5. There are 2 flavors of the product - one sends raw video, one sends mjpeg. The device is called the AVA-200 and has software to support sunos, solaris, HP, SGI and AIX platforms. It works in 8 or 24 bit color (if supported on platform) and supports 16 bit audio. Software on a workstation can display the video (currently only if sent raw) or if used in conjunction with a Parallax graphics adapter mjpeg can be displayed. A control window selects the audio/video source to view or hear and multiple video streams can be viewed. The bandwidth used for a mjpeg stream is around 5-6Mbps for full 24 bit color. The raw video depends on the size of the window displayed & 8 or 24 bit color. For more info send a message to info@fore.com.
