Performance requirements for ATM networks

Hi,

I'm looking for performance requirements for ATM networks, especially 
cell loss ratio and cell delay. Is anybody aware of papers on this 
subject? I would be interested in material which addresses only specific 
applications (e.g. MPEG, some data communications applications, voice 
communications) or general overviews. Also material which does not 
directly address ATM but deals with requirements of applications from 
which requirements for ATM can be derived would also be of interest. 

(Sorry if a similar questions has been asked earlyer. It's the first time 
I'm looking into this news group)
