I agree with that choice.  And it's nice that the ATM world usually gets it 
right.  I do note that in the narrowband ISDN world, there is widespread use 
of the phrase, "Rate Adaption", which is of course the same "franglish".  I 
always use "rate adaptation" but others usually don't.

Not the same debate as "root" versus "rout" for what rhymes with "router"....
