Hi,

My answers are embedded below. Correct me if i am wrong.

Assume that there are 4 IMA groups. Let us assume that the following links
need to be configured in these 4 groups.

        ----------------------------
End System A End System B
        ----------------------------
          Grp 1 Grp 2
2 2 // these are physical link numbers
3 3 // Just for Physical link identification
          Grp 3 Grp 4
            4 4
            5 5
        ----------------------------
( Assume that Ima groups 1 & 3 (just to identify the group) are in End
System A and Ima groups 2 & 4 are in End System B).

Intead of connecting Phy link # 2 in End System A to Phy link # 2 in End
System B, the operator connects Phy Link # 2 of A to # 4 of B and
Phy link #4 of A to # 2 of B. This is what is termed as mis-connection where
the configured links of one group are not connected to the intended links in
the other end IMA group but MISCONNECTED to some other IMA group (could also
be in some other End system).

By using the test pattern procedure defined in section 13 of Forum Spec.

LSMs and GSM may/will get wrong (not that of the intended group) FE events by
parsing the ICP cell from the misconnected link(s).

Hope this helps.

Raj
