problems connecting switches in ELAN

Hi,

...quite frustrated, this is my last chance for a solution :-(

I'm trying to set up a connection from a workstation A through an ATM-switch
B to an ATM-switch C, which is LECS, LES and BUS:

  <Client A> ---- < Switch B > ---- <Switch C: LECS, LES, BUS>

The problem is, that switch B (german product, HiLan) is apparently not able
to do NNI. So I tried UNI (switch B beeing User-Side, switch C network side).
Everything looks fine: switch B says link up/service up and switch C says
the same (btw: it's a 8260 IBM switch).

BUT: I get no address registrations via ilmi on switch B. The only address
I get is the one from workstation A. I set up a static route with iisp from
switch B to Switch C, so the client should find the lecs.

I know that there would be much more information to post, but I would
like to know, if this scenario could possibly work?? Is it possible to
use UNI between switches?

Thanks,

Andy
