ALL-2 info wanted

Hi 
  Can some one prvide me some information about how to differentiate
between AAL-2 and AAL-5 on the basis of header information.
I am trying to write a C program that checks the packet for AAL2 or
AAL-5 and send it to different destination accordingly.But i do 
not know how i can differentiate between AAL-2 and AAL-5.
