NHRP clarifications

I have a few questions about NHRP Server. I appreciate any
clarifications .

1.My first question is regarding the "NHRP Error Indication".
Let us consider the following scenario:
  NHC------>NHS1----->NHS2----->NHS3

For the above picture ,if NHC generates a packet, and during the
process of forwarding the packet, if the authentication between
NHS2 and NHS3 fails, an error indication is sent to the protocol
address which generated the packet. For the above case this would
mean that NHS3 sends "error indication" to NHC.
(refer to section5.2.7 of RFC 2332)

While I understand the need to inform the NHC about the failure,
to forward its packets, how does NHS3 convey to NHS2 about such
failures so that a remedial action can be taken?

2.This is regarding the 'NHRP authentication extension".
According to the section 4.5.2.5 of the MPOA specs,
"if an MPS/NHS discovers that the next hop for a NHRP packet
is another MPS on a common ELAN,the NHRP message should be
forwarded to the control ATM address of the MPS".

In such a scenario, is there any need to include the "authentication
extension" in the NHRP packet. If yes, do we need to configure
the "authentication information" for the neighbouring MPS statically?
How is it done in the present implementations of MPS/NHS?

Regards
Archana
