Invoking ATM over Serial

Hello:

In reading the various documentation I have, it seems to be possible to
invoke ATM over a serial line.

We are planning to hook up a T1 line, using ATM, to an outside
provider. Is it possible to hook this to our Cisco 7513 router through
serial, thus eliminating the need for expensive add on cards?

If it is possible, I assume we will need some kind of ATM DSU (ADSU?).
Any equipment recommendations would be welcome... cost is our primary
concern... we don't need much in the way of features, as all limiting,
traffic shaping will be handled on the other end.

Thanks in advance!!
