Not if they know what they're talking about.  The AAL5 CRC serves the
same purpose as the CRC in an Ethernet packet: it's the job of layer 2
to hand error-free packets to the IP layer.  The CRC is what it uses
to do so.

So if your SAR or your line are having troubles, you'll see CRC errors
and packet discards.
