Loss Of Continuity

 Hi,

I.610 specifies that a host can declare an AIS due to Loss of Continuity
if no Continuity Check cells are received for a period of 3.5 seconds.

Now, one can come out of an AIS if no AIS cells are received for a period
of 2.5 seconds typically.Does this method of exit from AIS state apply when
the state (AIS) is achieved due to a Loss of Continuity.

I think it should not apply because in that case(because of LOC) we
normally will not receive any cells and thus no AIS cells. So we will tend
to come out of AIS just to go back into AIS after detecting a LOC once
more.

I am not sure about the correct implementation.
Any help will be welcome.

thanks
