According to TM section5.1(p.36) CAC => done in CPE UPC=>done in network Selective Cell Discard=>done in network. Traffic Shaping=>done in CPE EFCI=>done in CPE Resource Management using Virtual Paths=>done in network Frame Discard=>done in CPE. Frames will be queued first if resource allowed(e.g. memory). GFC=>done in CPE ABR Flow control=>done in CPE. 2.In TM4.0 Figure 4-2, is a CPE(NIC) equal to "Equivalent Sources" ? 3.Is a CPE necessary to implment GCRA or GCRA happens on network(switch)? 4.Is it okay to say that 4.1 a CPE accepts or negotiate with UNI based on traffic descriptor(PCR,MBS,...etc), 4.2 network (say ATM switch) determines the CDVT that with traffic descriptor 4.3 network (say ATM switch) determines the conformance definition(say CBR.1,VBR.1, ...etc) and police the traffic Please correct if it is wrong. Thanks, WJ
