PNNI on Cisco question

Hi group,

We are trying to set up a NNI connection with a mayor ATM/FR network
supplier. According to their NNI agreement they only want to set it up if
the other side is Alcatel or Nortel. I am wondering whether the reason is
technical or political. As far as I understood from my research, PNNI is an
accepted standard so their nortel/alcatel gear should support it too.

While I am asking, has anyone tried running the connection between two ATM
switches (alcatel) over CCC (juniper) tunnels? This requires a VC per VC
configuration but I think it should be possible nevertheless.

Cheers!
