Peoples,

draft-armitage-ion-tn-01.txt has now been released.

It is a synthesis of the Transient Neighbors model from
draft-armitage-ion-tn-00.txt and the IPv6 specific text from
draft-ietf-ion-ipv6atm-framework-00.txt, both presented at the
ION meeting in June 96.

Whilst initially targetted at IPv6 over ATM, it is also applicable
to non-ATM NBMA environments where appropriate intra-link NBMA
support for multicasting is available (or emulatable).

I maintain a web page for this work:

http://gump.bellcore.com:8000/~gja/iv6-drafts.html

There is also a set of slides available from the June ION presentation
on the Transient Neighbors model. Anonymous ftp from ftp.bellcore.com,
the file is named /pub/gja/ipv6/transient-Jun96.ps.Z

(or try ftp://ftp.bellcore.com/pub/gja/ipv6/transient-Jun96.ps.Z)

Comments welcome, but please send them to the ION working group's
list (ion@nexen.com) only, unless they're of IPv6 specific nature.

cheers,
gja
