Craig,
Couldn't this cause the case where a host can easily claim to be
someone else and register itself with the server?

In our current model, a SVC is setup by the client to the server. Then server
InARPs on the VC to find out who is on the other end. In response to the InARP
an IP address is received and an entry is made in the ARP server's table and
thus the client gets registered. This tells the server that the IP address
it has is that of the host that setup the VC.

Now instead of InARPs if we used ARP requests then how can the server be
sure that the clients IP address is what the client claims to be? Should
this be of any concern? Maybe I am missing something here.
