Hi,

My understanding is that Constraint Based Routing (CBR) may be performed
either online by an LSR (through the control plane), or offline (through the
mgmt plane). The outcome of the Constraint Based Routing is the computation
and selection of the shortest e2e path fulffiling all the QoS/Routing/Policy
constraints. Then it's up to CR-LDP to signal the e2e path.

So if CBR is done through the control plane, you must always "tell" the LSR
MIB what the routing constraints are, before the Constrained Shortest Path
First algorithm runs.
On the other hand if CBR is done through the management plane, you have to
"tell" the head-end LSR which path was selected, so the CR-LDP can establish
the e2e path.

In order to do this the LSR MIBs must support these features.

 Ciao. Nuno.
