MPLS protection

Hi.

I have a general question about MPLS protection switching/path protection subject.
I saw there are a number of drafts related to the subject: andersson, swallow, makam, haskin, chang (2 times). At the beginning I missed them because I didn't know about drafts not originating from a working group.
I would like to know which ones would be relevant in future, if any. How do these individual submission drafts go into RFC state?

Anyway, any comment about the MPLS recovery subject is welcome.
