Balaji, the fact that a service provider is using MPLS or MPLS VPNs does not mean that the customer is not responsible for his or her own security. Certainly, if you are connecting to your other side through a VPN, you have reasonable assurance of security from external sources (not from your own people however), and I stress "reasonable", not complete. As soon as you connect to the Internet, whether by "bleeding" to the internet from a VPN, or really, whatever process the service provider uses, you have to take ultimate responsibility for your own security.
