Hi friends,

I've recently purchased 2 cisco 827 and I'm trying to setup a gre tunnel
over an ADSL connection. I've the same setup working with cisco 1721, but
with 827 that doesn't appear to work. After I configure tunnel interface, I
see the following:

---------------------------------------
Tunnel0 is up, line protocol is up
  Hardware is Tunnel
  Internet address is 192.168.10.2/30
MTU 1514 bytes, BW 9 Kbit, DLY 500000 usec,
     reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255
  Encapsulation TUNNEL, loopback not set
  Keepalive not set
  Tunnel source xxxxxx destination xxxxxxx
Tunnel protocol/transport uninitialized, key disabled, sequencing
disabled
  Tunnel TTL 255
Checksumming of packets disabled, fast tunneling enabled
Last input 4d15h, output 4d15h, output hang never
----------------------------

Note the "Tunnel protocol uninitialized"... In the 1721 the output is the
following:

------------------------------------

Tunnel0 is up, line protocol is up
  Hardware is Tunnel
  Internet address is 10.1.0.1/30
MTU 1514 bytes, BW 9 Kbit, DLY 500000 usec,
     reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255
  Encapsulation TUNNEL, loopback not set
  Keepalive not set
  Tunnel source xxxxxx, destination 213.96.xxx
  Tunnel protocol/transport GRE/IP, key 0x2, sequencing disabled
  Tunnel TTL 255
Checksumming of packets disabled, fast tunneling enabled
-------------------------------------

The configuration on both routers is the same:
RT_MAD_2#sh run int tun0
Building configuration...

Current configuration : 141 bytes
!
interface Tunnel0
 ip address 192.168.10.2 255.255.255.252
 no keepalive
 tunnel source 80.37.xxxx
 tunnel destination 80.xxxxxx
end

RT_MAD_2#

Does anybody know if GRE tunneling is supported in 827? IOS is:
