im not sure where ur question is coming from...
but i think the way to look at it is this....
it depends where u decide to switch...either at the interface itself or at
the central instance in the routing/label switching table..
in case its on the interface .....u have to have each lable unique to a
"flow" or a "VPN" per interface..
if its on the "central routing/label switching table" , as in most cases ,
the label is unique to every outgoing or incoming labeled packet per
"flow/FEC"....which is generally the case.....
label wont be of the same length if u mean "111" and "1111" are not the
same lenght..but yes, the same number of bits are reserved for the label on
the label encap being put on the packet.
so in general, u can say...label length is fixed and each LSP is identified
by a unique label for an ingress or egress packet.......(not that i said
"or" and not ingress "and" egress) coz i can have an incoming traffic with
label 114 but outgoing with label 115.....while i may have incoming with
label 118 and outgoing with label 114...nothing wrong with this...

Subject: [MPLS-OPS]: Label Space
Can someone please shed light on Label space namely
1)Per Interface Label space
2)Per Plateform Label space
What if I want to use {per Plateform Label space}, Will the Label be of the
same length. And Why {per plateform label space} is not as commonly used as
{per-interface label space}
Secondly If I am using {per Plateform Label Space}, will the Label should
have a unique value just like an IP Address.
Regards
