Hi Roger/All,
 
There is a clarification I seek from this list, based on your last mail on hub and spoke and something I have been reading up.
 
The "explosion" or routing information, is in no way solved even in non-VPN scenarios.
 
Consider the example
R1----R2
 |
  ------R3
 
All 3 routers are in the same AS
R1, R2 and R3 run iBGP among themselves and eBGP with other ASes

Will the routes coming from eBGP1 passed onto BGP2 and 3 also be termed as "routing explosion" on the internet?
