Dear Sudip There are several different groups and companies working on algorithms for optimizing primary, secondary and fast-reroute paths in MPLS-TE. Some already have products to market. Typical objectives include improving the predictability and performance of delay-sensitive traffic, and improving network resilience, utilization and maintainability. At Parc Technologies and our research centre in Imperial College, London, we have found that constraint propagation and hybrid algorithm techniques are effective at solving these problems. An algorithm combining this technology with fast reroute provisioning has been incorporated into Cisco's MPLS Tunnel Builder Pro to provide bandwidth protection as well as connectivity protection in the event of link or node failures. We can address further questions offline. best regards John Symes www.parc-technologies.com > -----Original Message----- > From: Sudip Misra [mailto:sudip_misra2003@yahoo.ca] > Sent: 16 February 2003 22:43 > To: Ajay Simha > Cc: mpls-ops@mplsrc.com > Subject: Re: [MPLS-OPS]: Anybody working on MPLS Routing Algorithms??? > > > Hi Ajay, > > Thanks for your response.
