Hi

Within the context of L2CCT for VLAN tagged ethernet :

Certain manufacture box indicate that it support "extended-Vlan" for
interface supporing TPID 0x9100 and 0x9901 .
What are those TPID used for ? could U point me to any URL on the subject .

aware about the standrad (802.Q) TPID 0x8100 where we can have up to 4094
vlan over an
interface ,is TPID 0x9100 and 0X9901 a way to increase the VLAN nbr over an
interface ???

N.B: Other manufacture box refer to "extended-Vlan" as the possibility to
support vlan nbr from
1025 to 4094 versus an earlier version which supported vlan nbr just
up to 1024 still in
both version the TPID 0x8100 is used .
What is the common/standrad definition of "Extended-VLan" ??

Brgds
