not really but before a new IP entry could be activate in the Forwarding Table, this entry must be compute before by the router. Depending on the memory capacity of the router, the Forwarding Table size will be indirectly limited.

if vendors could confirm?

How does RAM size effect forwarding table capacity?

does FT use RAM?
