RV I dont think the ping implementation in MPLS domain is any different in MPLS domain. I mean it is same number IP-ICMP-data thing. The only difference you can call is that a ping pkt is encapsulated with MPLS shim header in an MPLS domain whereas normally in non-MPLS domain there is no shim header. (as far as implementation is concerned I dont think there is any difference). Also, because of this shim header the max pkt size carried without fragmentation also changes.
