for now, you need to provide a static path in your area to the abr and  
beyond. In the path expression on the headend, from the abr forward  
you'll need to specify a loose path to the next hop. this way, when the  
PATH message hits the abr, it'll rewrite the ERO's using it's attached  
area knowledge
