Naw. I find his comments appropriate, in character, and enjoyable. No harm in a smile now and again. Before ATM, ION might be fairly innocuous to the IP way of doing things. But clearly, there is going to be friction between ATM (BISDN) and IP. Else, why did the two groups not do what made most sense: decide on a common addressing scheme (and routing algorithms) for IPv6 and ATM? You want conspiracy theories, there's one.
