Funny, I see most AAL5 traffic out there (in the user plane) carrying IP 
and hence alot of TCP stuff. some people have already realised the 
possibility of removing the IP layer  and using TCP directly in AAL5.
Good reasons for this are that there is A LOT of knowledge about the 
behaviour of TCP (not to mention many implementations freely available).

Perhaps you would care to say why SSCOP should be used instead of TCP?
It might make an interesting discussion.
