This is not true ; For point to multipoint case with parties on more then one
port at the root node itself, one has different Connection Identifiers and also
different Call Reference values. This is the case where at the UNI of the root
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
node one has multiple connections. But if one considers the case whereby
the parties are all located on the same port from the point of view of
the root , then there is only single Call Reference and connection identifiers
as well . In fact from the perspective of the root there is only one connection
and not multiple connections.

The "Call Reference" is used to identify/reference a call in the control plane
where as "Connection Identifier" are used for identify/accessing the
`connection' in the user plane after it has been set up by signalling
procedures in the control plane.
