Actually there is no problem in having multiple LECs on an ATM adapter.
Most ATM NICs with LANE support do that just fine. You have up to four
(the common number, nothing cast in stone) virtual LAN adapters, with
all the nuts and bolts. Hence, you can define IP on each - but not the
same IP address, as most IP stacks will probably get confused.
