Crankback occurs only during a connection setup and not when the connection 
is already established. The rerouting of Soft PVCs is not a feature of PNNI 
V1.0 but can be provided by implementors.

Rerouting of existing calls is a feature in PNNI V2.0, still under 
discussion. For more details check out the ATM forum site. You also checkout 
the latest contributions on different rerouting stratergies proposed at the 
ATM forum members only site.
