                                              (leaf 1)
    ______ |-----------------| /
   | root |------| | |------/
    ------ | public switch A |--| B |
                 |_________________| |____ |\
                                              \
                                              (leaf 2)

***NO!!. Link state between LEAF2<--->B will become active and CONNECT
***ACK can be immediately sent back from where CONNECT was received.
***(CONNECT ACK is of LOCAL significance, this is not trigged by the
***CONNECT ACK from A).

You are right, but I mean link state and party state ONLY BETWEEN A
AND B.
Would you like to detail this?

Because the private switch B now is the user of the public switch A,
(1)B on side of A,is running USER UNI signalling protocol;(2)A on side
of B,is running NETWORK UNI;(3)B on side of leaf ,is running NETWORK
UNI;(4)A on side of root,is running NETWORK UNI signalling protocol.
I want to know link state and party state ONLY WITH (1) AND (2).

Thank you very much.

Thank all helps.
