Hi Tim,

The differences are actually only the application(s) involved, number of
inbound and outbound lines, protocols, etc.  The Edge Switch is usually one
where several lower speed lines are aggregated in the box and then shipped
out over one ATM line.  The concentrator is usually a box that takes in and
sends out multiple ATM circuits as well as other lower speed circuits or
even higher speed circuits.  The ADC Kentrox AAC-3 is an ATM concentrator.
