Re: ATM access concentrator

   I feel that a device capabale of concentrating ATM accesses, not having any 
local switching facility and providing a common interface with the main switch 
could be considered an ATM access concentrator. Whereas, an ATM edge switch 
could be one having the local switching capabilities alongwith of concentrating 
the outgoing traffic. 
   To me, these two terms appear synonymous with Remote Switching Unit (RSU) and 
Remote Base Module (RBM) of PSTN domain.
