Historically in networking circles, it has meant Giant F***ing Router as in
the Cisco 7513 and the Bay BCN.  Cisco has recently released the 12000 GSR
(Gigabit Switching Router) that some people call the 12000 GFR by mistake,
but a mention of GFR usually refers to the first definition.
