I am using VP tunnels through a public carrier.
Our vendor does not support different service classes over a defined
tunnel. It actually can be allowed, but then the VC service guarantees
are off, as I understand it, due to the way the tunnel output queue is
scheduled (round robin). A tunnel is then required for each class.
Therefore we must have the carrier "carve" up the available BW among
different class of service paths that end up terminating at the same
site.
Does anyone have other experiences using VP tunneling with multiple
service classes within a VP tunnel? If so how does the implementation
maintain VC service guarantees?
