It's often abbreviated HOL. I got curious and asked AltaVista. It may not be an unbiased sample, but it's quick and easy to do. word count: head of queue blocking: 13; HOL blocking: 202; head of line blocking: 240 -- These are my opinions, not necessarily my employers.
