Traffic Class and Scheduling Algorithm(s)

Hi,

Is there a discription of what cell scheduling algorithm(s) can be used
with various traffic classes?

Is this even a valid question (e.g. if cells for different VCs, each
using a different traffic class (CBR, UBR, VBR-rt etc.) are being sent
out the same port, intuition tells me that the same algorithm would be
used, perhaps with different prameters.

As you can guess, I'm confused. Books and papers I've found (so far)
don't talk about this aspect of QoS. Admission Control and Shaping are
discussed. With these I can see how a device can keep from over
subscribing itself and/or an outbound port. But when real-time cells
mix with those from other classes, I haven't been able to find much.

Any help appriciated.

Thanks,
MikeC
