Is there a mapping defined that allows me to go from an
ATM address contained in an octet string (0|8|13|20 or 28?)
and a atmInterfaceAddressType defined for the ATM interface
to an NBMA address as used by NHRP

rfc1695.atmInterfaceAddressType	NHRP.address family number	Address length
private(1), -- --
nsapE164(2), NSAP (3) 20
nativeE164(3), E.164 (8) 8
-- E.164+NSAP subaddr 28 ?
other(4) -- --

The NHRP-MIB has address and subaddress in accordance with NHRP.

Should IP-ATM have some support for subaddresses?

Does it need to be explicitly stated how to map an NBMA/ATM address
into a ATMTC-MIB.AtmAddr ?
e.g. to define the use of ipNetToMediaPhysAddress in the IP-ATM MIB
or ifPhysAddress?

In the IP-ATM-MIB.ipAtmLisSubnet, does there need to be an attribute
that maps to the ar$hrd in RFC1577, or ar$afn in NHRP?
Should there be a reference to the rfc1695.atmInterface table
for the corresponding interface?

Related types are NhrpIANAAddrFamily in NHRP-MIB and
atmInterfaceAddressType in AToMMIB (1695).

David
