VENUS I-D submitted

FYI, I've submitted for general interest an I-D that explores
some of the issues I think will limit the value of the ION
working group pursuing a general `multicast cut-through'
protocol. The I-D describes the sorts of things that
a Very Extensive NonUnicast Service (VENUS) would need
to support, and argues that alternatives (such as multi-LIS
clusters using distributed MARSs) are a better focus of our time.

The name is draft-armitage-ion-venus-00.txt

It will appear in due order on the internet-drafts archives,
but is available now on:

cheers,
gja
