You mean VPIs at the UNI are scarce? There are 256 VPs at a UNI and
4096 VPs in a switch. So there could be 256 mutlicast groups (switched
VPs) at a UNI and 4096 in a switch. Of course, this does not work
when private networks have to cross other networks via tunneling
or via a UNI.
