Sounds like we may be shattering all those dreams of ATM as a panacea for
everything ... I'm not sure anyone on this list (and only a few people at the ATM
Forum) would claim that ATM can build global datagram internets without just
a little bit of help from higher-layer protocols.

I'd rather get on with some engineering (with all the necessary compromises)
on this list ...
