TTL decrementing, ATM and CSR

But why bother?  If the Ipsilon approach is as described in the trade
journals, this approach to integrating IP packet switching and
ATM communications subnet cell switching ultimately may
make no sense.

True of course, but such transients are unrelated to ATM and can
occur with any technology.

With the VLAN architecture applied to ATM, the standard
rules of TTL field deal with such transients as they do with
other media.
