Mohammed :
As praveen told TCP does not send any sequences no. Please refer Network Programming by steven or Internetworking with TCP/IP by Douglas COMer part 1 to have further understanding.

Hi all,
In TCP normally the ACK's are piggybacked. But in cases where the receiver has no data to send it will be forced to send the ACK alone.
Is this TCP ACK segment numbered ( does it have a sequence number ). It does carries seq + 1 as an ACK but i am asking about the SEQ number of the segment being transmitted. Does it carry that ... ????
Any pointers are welceme..
Thanks, Abrar.
