You might want to attend one of the upcoming MPLS conferences for more 
insight into who is deploying MPLS services and how. There's one in Paris 
in early February (http://www.upperside.fr/congress02/mplsworld2002.htm) 
and another in Tyson's Corner, VA in March (www.mplscon.com)

I'm not affiliated with either conference, BTW.
