ask about the signaling cost

Hi:
    I have some questions about the signaling cost problems. I want to build the backup path on each LSRs along the LSP. But I only use the signaling to check periodically if the path can be find. If the path can be found  then save in the memory in the local  LSR. How can I calculate the cost of this architecture.
