Title: RE: [MPLS-OPS]: Web replica location in MPLS environment

Hi Daniel,

Look like an ambitious project to emulate Web application over an MPLS network.

Have you ever heard about NS2 (Network Simulator 2)?
Full documentations available on public site  :http://www.isi.edu/nsnam/ns/
Both TCP and MPLS protocols are integrated in NS2.

You need an IGP protocol to run MPLS: OSPF, IS-IS, Static, ...
You need also a signaling protocols for MPLS: LDP or RSVP.

Once you have setup this programs, you could start to think about Traffic Engineering.

A lot of algorithms to implement.
Have fun!

Regards,
Mourad

I work on aplication for simulation Web replica location problem in MPLS
environment.
What kind of algorithms do I have to implement? Do I need to know about
Traffic Engineering?
I would be appreciate if someone could tell me sth about that.

thanks

Daniel
