Devendra,
Looks like you want to have a L3 CPE connecting to a L2 device, which in
turn connects to the PE router(s).
More than that, it seems to me that the requirement is to carve out
multiple routing contexts out of the single CPE device, which could
potentially be connected to multiple routers or hosts as shown below :
PE1------PE2======L2=====CPE-------R1
|----------R2
If the above is not what the requirement is, then please help us understand
the requirement.
If the above indeed is the case, then we can proceed further after you
acknowledge.
As far as the accuracy of an RFC is concerned, one should look at the IETF
repository for further clarification.
