I think this works out fine in theory but how many providers out there do you know that have done this?

Right now on cisco you have to specify loosely routed ERO for each ABR.
On juniper,I dont think you can configure Inter-Area TE LSP.

Hope Cisco/Juniper guys can comment if the above is incorrect.

A follow-up to that question is about MPLS TE in a single area. I've read in a few articles that the MPLS Traffic Engineering can only be configured within a single area. If that is the case then what happen if a network is segmented into multiple areas, how do you do MPLS TE across multiple areas.
